Why Defiance?
HMS Defiance was a 74-gun ship of the line that fought at some of the Royal Navy's greatest victories - Copenhagen in 1801 and Trafalgar in 1805. At Copenhagen, serving as Admiral Graves' flagship, she found herself exposed to severe crossfire from Danish batteries. Despite taking heavy damage and being set ablaze multiple times by red-hot cannonballs, HMS Defiance held her position in the line of battle.
